About
The brand is the culmination of a rich family legacy in botany and scent, tracing back to Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars, an 18th-century French botanist exiled during the French Revolution. He discovered and collected over 2000 plant specimens in Madagascar, La Reunion, and Mauritius. Two centuries later, his great-great-great-granddaughter, Marie du Petit Thouars, founded the brand, drawing inspiration from her family's botanical history and her own upbringing in Belgium, where she experimented with scents in her mother's greenhouse.
