Depending on the source material and extraction method, it can range from fresh, leafy, and slightly bitter to intensely resinous, sticky, and even subtly floral or citrusy due to varying terpene profiles. A signature aspect is often a pungent, slightly skunky or sulfurous undertone, which provides a unique edge and can be quite diffusive. Its intensity can be high, projecting strongly, particularly in the initial phases. It often behaves as a heart note, bridging the volatile top notes with the grounding base, but can also lend its green earthiness to the base, offering moderate to good longevity depending on the composition and concentration.
